FREE CHEX Community Empowerment Workshop

December 18, 2018

Getting in on the Act for community-led health

Thursday 31st January 2019, 9:30am-12:30pm, Deaf Action, 49 Albany Street, Edinburgh EH1 3QY

The Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act has been around for more than a year now. Community Health Exchange (CHEX), in partnership with Edinburgh Community Health Forum, is running this free workshop for community organisations, which is a chance to find out what the Act contains and how to make use of it.

As well as providing a general overview, the workshop will introduce you to:

  • Using participation requests to start a conversation with public bodies about how to improve services.
  • Asset transfer requests in relation to land and buildings in your community that you would like to make better use of.
  • Having your voice heard in community planning
