Edinburgh Consultation Watch January 2016

January 15, 2016

Leith Town Centre Planning

If your Community Health project is involved in working with people in and around Leith, you may want to contribute to this City of Edinburgh consultation.

Leith Town Centre Consulation

Proposals cover changes to how ground-level premises are classed as shop or non-shop uses.

The consultation does touch on how more frontages can be designated for non-shop and community uses – this may be relevant to some of your projects.

Consulation questions also asks for opinions on converting shops to residential usage, and on the potential to develop several sites in the area, including the old tram depot at 165 Leith Walk.

You may have opinions on how Leith, and the other Town Centre areas across Edinburgh, ought to be developed.
